If you are already a registered member of SHOE, you can skip directly to step 2.
Only when you have received your username and password from SHOE, you will be able to register your chat-nick.
Step 2
Enter your SHOE username and password in the first two fields. (The same you are using for your member login at shoe.org).
In the section chatnick and chat password, you can choose any nickname you want. With this nickname you will have to log on the chat.
The Chat-Services (NickServ, ChanServ, MemoServ, BotServ) will answer you in your standard language.
Please note: the standard language has no influence in which language other users are writing to you.
Step 3
After you have registered your chatnick, you can log on the chat.
Enter your chatnick and chat password in the designated fields 'Nickname' and 'Password'.
When you log on to the chat, you will find a list below the command line. It says 'Private' and 'Public'.
In 'Private' you will find channels resp. services and users, who communicate with your privately.
'Public' lists channels that are accessible to all users.
If a button starts lightening up, a new message is waiting for you. Simply click on this button to read the message.
To change window, click on the corresponding buttons.
Once you have logged on to the chat, you'll find a window with short references. These are helpful IRC commands, which you can just copy/paste in the chat.
